Our Purpose... Ottawa County Christian Academy began in the fall of 2004. The goal of Ottawa County Christian Academy is to provide area children with a high-quality, low-cost, Christian education in an optimum learning environment.
OCCA offers a full-time educational program for K-12 students.
All teachers at OCCA hold college degrees and are certified to teach by the Ohio Department of Education in a non-chartered, non-taxed school. All staff members have been properly screened and trained in order to provide the best possible education for your child.
OCCA is a private, non-chartered Baptist school. We receive no state funding and are exempt from taxation. OCCA is recognized by the state of Ohio as a Section O-8 institution. This means we are a bona-fide school and follow the guidelines stated in the Minimum Standards of the State of Ohio. As a Section O-8 school, OCCA meets all state requirements for compulsory school attendance. This status also permits high school students to receive financial aid to take elective courses at a local college or university.
OCCA is dedicated to developing your students both in personal faith and academic excellence.
