As a newer ministry of Grace Baptist Church, the goal of Ottawa County Christian Academy is to provide area children with a high-quality, low-cost, Christian education in an optimum learning environment.
OCCA offers a full-time educational program for K-12 students, as well as many extracurricular activities.
All teachers at OCCA hold college degrees and are certified to teach by the Ohio Department of Education in a non-chartered, non-taxed school.    All staff members have been properly screened and trained, in order to provide the best possible education for your child.
OCCA is a private, non-chartered Baptist school.  We receive no state funding and are exempt from taxation.  OCCA is recognized by the state of Ohio as a Section O-8 institution.  This means we are a bona-fide school and follow the guidelines stated in the Minimum Standards of the State of Ohio.  As a Section O-8 school, OCCA meets all state requirements for compulsory school attendance.  This status also permits high school students to receive financial aid to take elective courses at a local college or university.
Founded to serve the members of Grace Baptist Church, as well as the surrounding community, OCCA is an educational ministry designed to be a support for parents who desire excellence in education.  Our programs and methods express our desire as teachers and parents to properly… “Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6) and to “...bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4)  OCCA is dedicated to developing your students both in personal faith and academic excellence.
